On our economics trip to Barcelona, a Lufthansa strike forced us to rebook an earlier flight, which was stressful but manageable. After arriving late at night in the rain, we learned an important lesson about flexibility and having a plan B. The next day, we explored the area while waiting for our apartment and got a feel for local cafés and shops.
We also went grocery shopping and planned meals, putting budgeting and decision-making into practice. We ended the day with a homemade dinner, our first relaxed and successful day in Barcelona.
