From May 17–23, 2026, Ms MacPherson and Mr Zaniboni accompanied Grade 9 students Isabel, Paulina, and Elif, and Grade 8 students Kai and Ava to Antalya, Turkey as part of the Erasmus+ project “My Story, Your Story, Our Stories.” Hosted by Antalya Kepez Gülveren Anadolu Lisesi, the mobility brought together students and teachers from Germany, Turkey, Italy, and Croatia for a week of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Throughout the week, participants took part in a variety of workshops and activities focused on storytelling, communication, creativity, and intercultural understanding. Students worked together in international groups, sharing personal experiences and perspectives while developing friendships across borders. Creative activities included drama, discussion, art workshops, and collaborative projects that encouraged students to explore how stories connect people from different backgrounds and cultures.
In addition to the educational programme, participants had the opportunity to experience Turkish culture and hospitality. Visits to local historical and cultural sites provided valuable insights into the rich heritage of the Antalya region, while shared meals and social activities strengthened the bonds between students and teachers from all four partner countries.
The mobility was a memorable and enriching experience that helped students develop confidence, communication skills, cultural awareness, and lasting international friendships. We would like to thank our Turkish hosts for their warm welcome and excellent organisation of a successful Erasmus+ week.
